He has ADHD and he stims occasionally, usually by clasping his hands together. He suffers from PTSD after the Bite of '83. He is a Caucasian male with brown hair and blue eyes. After being scooped, his body began to rot until his skin became purple, he lost his hair and his eyes became black with white pupils. He has a father named William Afton, a sister named Elizabeth Afton, a twin sister named Skylar Mochizuki, and a younger brother named C.C.

His hair used to be brown, and his eyes--the color of fresh water, but after being scooped, his body began to rot, his skin turning purple, hair falling out in clumps, and his once bright eyes now dull and lifeless with black pupils. Michael can often be seen hunched over his notebook, writing down his thoughts and fears to try to make sense of them. Despite his struggles, Michael is a kind-hearted and caring individual.
