Sasuke Uchiha was born into the Uchiha clan as one of the last surviving members after the clan's massacre. His older brother, Itachi, was responsible for the massacre in an attempt to prevent a coup d'état. Sasuke sought revenge against Itachi and left the village to train under Orochimaru. He eventually realized the folly in seeking revenge and returned to protect the village. Sasuke ultimately sacrificed himself by casting a protective barrier around the village using a jutsu he obtained from his mentor.
